Dennis Wayne “Yogi” Yocham, 50, Fayetteville, Ark., died Nov. 26, 2014, at his home.
He was born Dec. 13, 1963, in Iola, the third of four sons to Fred and Verna Barnes Yocham.
When his mother passed away on Sept. 14, 1967, his maternal grandmother, Alice Barnes, took in and raised the four boys to adulthood. They were all members of the Nazarene Church in Iola. Mrs. Barnes passed way on Sept. 26, 1983.
When he was a boy, he enjoyed fishing, sports and swimming. As an adult, he enjoyed fishing, watching football and four-wheeling with ATV’s. He is survived by two sons, Travis Yocham and Zachary Yocham, of the home; a daughter, Niketa Yocham, Harrison, Ark.; three brothers, Martin Yocham and wife Kaye, Springdale, Ark., Darrell Yocham and wife Laura, Colony,  and Keith Yocham and wife Rebecca, Lenexa; and a half-brother, Edward Yocham, Muskogee, Okla.
He was recently preceded in death by the mother of his children, Kimberly Yocham.
Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family  and friends will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Highland Cemetery with a small service and interment.
Following the service, there will be a gathering for Dennis at the home of Darrell Yocham, with pictures and stories about Dennis’ life, family and friends.
A memorial fund has been established for his teenage children, through his brother, Darrell Yocham.
